Lightning Protection Device (LPD) – Type 1

The Nightscaping® Lightning Arrestor is a Type 1 UL listed to UL1449, stake-mounted, waterproof device designed for outdoor applications. It is suitable for 12V systems, including landscape lighting systems, irrigation systems, and outdoor audio systems. The Nightscaping® Lightning Arrestor features an LED indicator to show proper function, a 6” sand-colored round Hub connection box to house the Lightning Arrestor, and an 8” ground stake for mounting the Lightning Arrestor inside the Hub connection box (copper ground rod not included).

The 12V Lightning Arrestor is engineered for both AC and DC electric systems. It protects both magnetic and electronic power supplies and LED/Incandescent luminaires without interfering with the GFI protection circuit. It also provides protection to service panels, outdoor audio systems, load centers, or wherever the Lightning Arrestor is directly connected to the electronic device(s) requiring protection. Before installing any of the outdoor systems mentioned, ensure your design/installation company is using the Nightscaping® Lightning Arrestor. It will protect not only your outdoor systems but also all your electronic devices at home.

The Nightscaping® Lightning Arrestor is the only Type 1, UL 1449 rated 80kA device available in the outdoor, landscape, 12V arena that can protect your investments from a direct lightning strike.
